Day in and day out we undergo frightening experience while riding created by different horns with varied decibels. Eventhough Airhorns are prohibited, many vehicles are still using them.  It is high time the government should do something on this.  Horn should be standardised in such a manner by hearing the horn we should know whether it is moped, motorcycle, auto, car, tempo or lorry.  Horn is meant only to caution. It is not for threatening or for pleasure.  Traffic department should take steps to educate the drivers when to use the horn. Call taxi horning is unbearable. How foolish it is  to horn when you are waiting for a signal but still many fools are doing it. Lorry drivers and Call taxi wallahs are the persons who really threatens other drivers and pressurises them to start their vehicle even when the signal is in red. Unwanted horning is a real irritation and causes head ache. Transport department should punish such drivers by putting them inside a room fitted with different types of hi decibel horns for a few minutes. Then only they will understand the difficulties of other drivers.   Public should be given powers to stop vehicles using Air horns and report and the traffic department should stop the vehicle at the nearest check point and penalise such vehicles which has air horns fitted on it. Will the authorities look into it?.
