“Creating expectation is very very easy but to satisfy is the most difficult part” - this was the lesson we learnt after seeing all the horror pongal releases. Lets go one by one
1. Ayirthil Oruvan - A mixture of several scenes from hollywood films, No proper story line, comic graphics, very very bad screenplay, no sense of timing portrayed and so on.
Whenever a serious twist takes place in the film, a ruthless comedy interupts making the audience yawn. For instance, after locating the Chola Kingdom after several bottle necks, immediately kathik, reema and andrea starts singing a song with liquor . Selvaraghavan Sir…what happened ? We know your stuffs but we dint expect this stuff after much hype that was created. Please…please…dont try any gimmicks in your next film where Vikram has taken the biggest ever risk of his career and we expect the film before 2015 atleast… and the only appreciation in this film was the camera and the Background score.
2. Kutty - A family entertainer except the last 25 minutes. The last 25 minutes of the film was more sticky and expandable than the boomer buggle gum. An usual Danush film.
3. Nanayam - A decent try on the screenplay but please dont expect logics. Prasanna has done a very peppy role rightly accompanied by Sibi. The song “Nan pogiren mela ..” sung by SPB and Chitra does the magic. No harm in watching.
4. Porkalam- This effort is worth a pat on the back. A real different story and we can see the director’s work in making the logic match with the character and screen play. We highly recommend everyone to watch this film and post your comments. Except the snail pace screenplay , several black transitions, repeated statue shot, everything was above normal
